The works at Wilson Street involved the amalgamation of two 1960’s office buildings with the construction of an additional three new storeys near Finsbury Square in London to create a new mixed use building. The new building contains 9 stories of office units including a basement and 9 apartments. Planning permission was obtained in 2009 by GML Architects
Geoff Beardsley & Partners were employed by the client as consultant architects to produce working drawings and details, discharge planning conditions, integrate structural and technical information and carry out site inspections.
We worked closely with the contractor and structural engineer to ensure that the needs of the client were being meet whilst the original design concept was realised.
The complex façade was carried out as a separate design and build contract. Geoff Beardsley & Partners also acted as the Employer’s Agent for the checking and approval of the design drawings produced for the façade package.
