We were approached by the client, after the previous owner failed to achieve planning approval for a new block of flats on the site of an existing office building in West London. A feasibility study and consultation with the Local Authority established, that family houses would be a more appropriate development proposition and planning approval for three new terraced houses was granted at the end of 2013.
The houses have a traditional appearance yet will achieve level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, above and beyond the level stipulated by the Local Authority at the time. They incorporate photovoltaic panels and a Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) system without compromising the well proportioned elevations and generous interiors. Cleverly planned to provide off street parking to the front and generous landscaped gardens to the rear, the houses are currently on site and are due to be completed by the Spring of 2015.
